This type of amethyst is mixed, naturally with white quartz, adding beautiful striations and variance in color.  It's called Banded Amethyst or Dogtooth Amethyst.  Each bead is around 8mm long, 6mm thick, with a 1mm hole. Faceted, amazing glisten and colors. You'll get around 50 beads on your 15-16" strand.
